Vittorio Tavernari was born in 1919 in Milano. In 1935 – 1939 he studied in the class of Prof. Francesc Wildt. His sculptures are held at many important museums in Italy (Milano, Bologna, Rome, Palermo, Vatican) and abroad (San Paolo, New York, Bellinzona). Died in 1987 in Varese.
