Silvio Mattioli was born in 1929 in Wintherthur, Switzerland. Studied Sculpture at the Craft School in Zurich. Since 1952 he participated at many exhibitions throughout Europe. He is the author of a number of public sculptures in Zurich. He received a Conrad Ferdinand Meyer Foundation Award.  Died April 3th, 2011.
