Miroslav Šutej was born in 1936 in Duga Resa, Croatia. In 1961 he graduated from graphic print at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, in the class of professor Marijan Detoni. From 1978 he was a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. He was member of HAZU who was active in scenography, interior design and graphic design (he designed Croatian coat of arms and Kuna bank notes). His works can be viewed at the Tate gallery in London and MoMA collection in New York. He died in 2005.
