Born in 1931 in Yamagata. Studied traditional technique of Buddhist sculpture, in 1957 graduated at the College of Fine Arts in Kyoto. Honourable Professor at Seianzokei University. Member of the association of Japanese artists. Author of a number of public sculptures in Japan.
