Donald Buglass was born 1962 in New Zealand. He graduated in 1991 from the National Art School at the Sydney Academy, Australia.  He is a member of the Artists in Nature International Network. He has attended a number of sculpture colonies around the world. He executed is an elliptical, elongated and upside-down silhouette of a boat constructed of wooden discs that mutually support each other solely by means of the laws of physics.
