Boško Kućanski was born in 1931 in Krbavica in Lika, Croatia. He graduated at the Faculty of Stomatology in Belgrade (1958) and Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo (1972). He studied art history in Belgrade. During his studies, he made numerous study-related journeys to Italy, France, Spain, Germany and Canada. He worked as a professor at Faculty of Stomatology and at Fine Arts Academy in Sarajevo. He was a member of International Sculpting Association of UNESCO. From 1978 he was a member of Academy of Arts and Sciences of BiH. He died in 2016.
