Avtarjeet S. Dhanjal was born in 1939 in Dalla, India. He studied sculpture at Government College of Arts in Chandigarh, India. In 1970-1974 he worked as a professor at Department of Visual Arts at Kenyatta University College in Nairobi (Kenya). In 1974 he moved to the UK and enrolled in the postgraduate studies in the class of professor William Tucker at St. Martin’s School of Art in London. He is the author of number of public sculptures in India, Great Britain, Brazil and USA. He lives in Telford, Shropshire, UK.
