Alem Korkut was born in 1970. From 1991 to 1992 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo. In 1992 he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb to study sculpture. In 1997 he graduated in the class of Prof. Šima Vulas. He was a member of HZSU from 1998 to 2007 and is a member of the Artists’ Organisation Ateljeji Žitnjak since 2004. Since 2007 he has been working at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb as an associate professor.
