Alberto Carneiro was born in 1937 in Coronado, Portugal. He graduated at Faculty of Art at Porto. He completed his postgraduate studies at St. Martin’s School of Art in London. In 1972-1976 he was a lecturer of sculpture at the School of Fine Arts in Porto and in 1972-1985 at Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra. He represented Portugal at Paris Biennial (1969), Venice Biennial (1976) and Sao Paolo Biennial (1977). He died in 2017.
