Trajectories: Works from the Gorjup Gallery Collection

Date: 12. 09. 2025
Time: 19:00

The exhibition Development Directions: Works from the Gorjup Gallery Collection will mark the 50th anniversary of Galerija Božidar Jakac – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, and will showcase the rich and extensive collection of works from the Gorjup Gallery Collection, which is the oldest collection of the museum that has been developed since 1957. Due to the absence of a permanent public display, which is housed in a small variant in the primary school in Kostanjevica na Krki, many works from the collection will be on display for the first time, or after a long time. Divided into four thematic sections, the exhibition will present artworks from the inter-war (1918-1941) and post-war (post-1945) periods, and will establish genealogical links between various periods and tendencies of modern and contemporary art.
