Traces of Art: Photography – A Matter of View

Date: 30. 07. 2026
Time: 10:00

Adult Education Program
Every last Thursday of the month (May–August), 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Starting in May, Galerija Božidar Jakac will continue its “Traces of Art” program.

Every last Thursday of the month, we will meet in the morning and, in a relaxed atmosphere, discover the stories that art tells through the gallery’s exhibitions and collections.

SERIES 2
Photography: A Matter of View

This series of meetings ties into the exhibition A Matter of View and raises questions about how we view images and how images shape our understanding of space.

Through guided tours of the exhibition and the surroundings of Galerija Božidar Jakac, we will develop a sensitivity to the visual environment, with a special emphasis on phenomena of visual pollution, everyday absurdities, and humor in space. We will also approach the sessions as active creators of images through photography.

May 28: A Matter of View

June 25: Framing in Painting – The Cutout as Meaning

July 30: Visual Pollution of the City

August 27: Forma viva and Photography

These gatherings are free for Friends of GBJ; otherwise, an admission fee applies upon visit. To help us organize the event, please register by September 24, 2025. We are accepting registrations at info@galerija-bj.si or 07 49 88 140.
