Date: 27. 02. 2025
Time: 10:00
education programme for adults
Last Thursday of each month (January-April), 10.00-12.00
At the Galerija Božidar Jakac we are launching a special programme – Traces of Art. This is an opportunity for relaxed socialising and in-depth exploration of the world of art, where no prior knowledge is required – just curiosity!
On the last Thursday of every month, we will meet in the morning and in a relaxed atmosphere, through the exhibitions and collections of the gallery, discover together the stories told by art.
Our first session will be dedicated to the exhibition Distant Gaze: New Objectivity and Realisms in Central Europe (1925-1933).
PART I: New Objectivity and New Realisms:
30. 1. Introduction to the Objectivity of the Gaze
27. 2. Instability and Social Injustice (historical view)
27. 3. Mass Culture
24. 4. New Objectivity and New Realisms in the Permanent Collections of the GBJ
We will continue to follow the trail of art throughout the year. After the exploration of new realities, join us in discovering the cultural landscape of the Cistercians (May-August) and celebrating the 50th anniversary of the GBJ (September-December).
These events are free for members of GBJ Friends Club, otherwise there is an admission charge. To facilitate the organisation of the event, please register by 24 January 2025. Sign up at info@galerija-bj.si or 07 49 88 140.
