11. Exhibition in the Graphic Cabinet of Bogdan Borčić

In addition to this year’s installation of works on paper, where we usually present a chronological selection from Bogdan Borčić’s extremely rich graphic oeuvre held by Galerija Božidar Jakac, we have once again turned to drawing. The reason for this is the extensive donation of drawings recently given to us by the artist’s widow, Ida Borčić, which we present in its entirety in the accompanying publication. The first presentation of Borčić’s drawing oeuvre was held in his office here in Kostanjevica na Krki more than ten years ago, in October 2006, when we also presented the monograph Bogdan Borčič: Sketches and Drawings, and the second presentation was in 2009 at the Lamut Art Salon, which was conceived more chronologically and which this year’s presentation builds on in this respect. Alongside all three exhibitions, the collection of drawings in the Collection of the Graphic Cabinet of Bogdan Borčić has been systematically replenished, which now comprises around 400 items and a dozen of the artist’s sketches.
