Petar Barišić was born in 1954 in Vrlik, Croatia. He graduated in 1978 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in the class of professor Ivan Sabolić. Since 2002, he has worked as Professor of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. In 2008 he received the ‘Best Croatian exhibition’ award for his exhibition ‘White’. In 2009, he prepared site-specific installation for the former monastery church of Božidar Jakac Art Museum.
