Erik van Spronsen was born in 1948 in Hague, the Netherlands. In 1972 he graduated at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Hague in the class of professor J.J. Beljon. He mostly sculpted in iron. His constant source of inspiration had been geometric qualities and cube mechanism. He was a member of the Dutch group of artists Vishal and Dutch Association of sculptors. He died in 2020.
