During the winter holidays, we are organising creative workshops to learn more about the exhibition Distant Gaze.

THE STORY BEHIND THE PORTRAIT
Tuesday 18 February, 10am to 12 pm
In the exhibition Distant Gaze: New Objectivity and Realisms in Central Europe (1925-1933), we encounter many portraits that tell us about the person in the picture through clothes, objects, faces and poses. What are they thinking? How do they feel? What is their profession? Where do they live? In this workshop we will learn the basic rules of portrait painting and try to capture the likeness and personality of the portraitee.

EXPLORATORY WALK WITH WORKSHOP: A GLIMPSE INTO A NEW OBJECTIVITY
Wednesday, 19 February, 10 am to 12 pm
You are invited to an exploratory adventure where we will discover the characteristics of the new obectivity through fun tasks. From the role of a detective, we will end up as a cartoonist and get to know this humorous approach to drawing.

The price for the workshops is 5€ per workshop or 10€ for both days, for a second child the price is 8€ for both days. The workshops are suitable for children of all ages.
