Join us for a guided tour of the depictions of the Virgin Mary that adorn the facades of today’s gallery—once the Cistercian monastery of Marijin studenec—and complement the Pleterje Collection of European Painters. The exhibited works span the 17th to 19th centuries and are owned by the nearby Pleterje Charterhouse. Most of the paintings were brought to Slovenia by monks from the Charterhouse of St. Anne in Bosserville near Nancy in Lorraine during the restoration of the Pleterje Charterhouse.

5:00 PM Opening of the Exhibition by Participants of the Printmaking Workshop
This year’s creative work focused on the drypoint technique, drawing inspiration from the works and related conceptual and artistic approaches found in the bodies of work by Bogdan Borčić and Karel Zelenko.
The workshop was co-organized with JSKD OI Krško.
