Mojca Zlobko Vajgl, harfa; solistični recital

MOJCA ZLOBKO VAJGL, harpist and teacher at the Academy of music at the University of Ljubljana, is one of the leading musicians of Slovenia, with a rich international career as soloist and chamber musician.

She graduated from the Music Academy in Ljubljana in 1991 and started as solo harpist of the orchestra of the Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet Ljubljana, but soon dedicated all her talent entirely to solo and chamber music. She completed her postgraduate harp studies at the Academy of Music and Theatre in Hamburg with prof. Maria Graf.
Mojca Zlobko soon became an established concert soloist with a vast and diverse repertoire of chamber music, and inspired several composers to create their works for harp solo, as well as duets with various instruments, which she often performs, with great success, at her concerts all around the world.
As a soloist, she has given many performances with numerous renowned ensembles, including the Berlin Symphonic Orchestra, the Stockholm Chamber Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of the Hamburg Philharmonic, Leipzig string quartet, Orpheus quartet, Ars Amata Zürich, Orchestre di Padova e del Veneto, the Belgrade Philharmonic, Sarajevo Philharmonic, Kiev National chamber orchestra and the Croatian Chamber Orchestra from Zagreb, Wiener Concert Verein and other orchestras. Often Mojca Zlobko Vajgl was performing as a soloist with the Slovenian Philharmonic and the RTV Slovenia Symphonic Orchestra. .
Being a master of chamber music, she is often a part of such an ensemble, and her performances, both solo and with different orchestras, have been recorded in several radio and TV. Mojca Zlobko Vajgl has till now released seven solo CDs.

Music has led this outstanding artist all over Europe – she was a guest performer in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Latvia, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Portugal, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro and Canada. She also appeared at the music festivals in Budapest, Ankara, Dubrovnik, Schleswig-Holstein, Skopje, Riga, Klagenfurt, Baku, Gabala, Split and Ljubljana.
Between 2000 and 2002, she lived and performed in Vienna, from 2002 and 2004, in Berlin.
Mojca Zlobko Vajgl is a professor for harp and chamber music at Music Academy in Ljubljana; she has been several times invited to be a member of international juries at harp competitions.
