Kosuke Kimura was born in 1936 in Osaka, Japan. In 1959 he graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kyoto. In 1971 he has won Grand Prix at the 9th International Biennial of Graphic Arts in Ljubljana. He was a lecturer of aesthetic and art history at the Faculty of Cultural Studies, University of Kyoto.
